About the event

Waller House Tour

Take a behind-the-scenes tour of Waller House, an iconic Melbourne heritage property and the home of Christian and Napier Waller.


This exclusive tour is hosted by one of the National Trust’s Conservationists and provides visitors a unique opportunity to see conservation in action as the National Trust develops a plan for preserving and enhancing Waller House into the future.


The tour offers participants the opportunity to learn about the conservation processes and decisions required to open a house museum for this unique property. Participants will also learn about the lives of the occupants, Christian and Napier Waller, their circle of friends and associates, and their art processes.


Please note that outside these tours, Waller House is closed to the general public while conservation work is undertaken.


This tour includes stairs and steep slopes. There is unfortunately no current provision for people with mobility issues or limited mobility.

Thursday 27 March

10.30am - 12pm or 2pm - 3.30pm (two separate & identical tours)

9-9A Crown Road, Ivanhoe VIC 3079


Parking:

Limited street parking is available.

There is strictly no parking on Crown Road, but there is parking in the adjacent Riverside Road.


Public Transport:

Attendees are encouraged to travel to Waller House by public transport, drop-and-go, or car-pooling.

Darebin Station (Hurstbridge Line) is the nearest train station, approx. 10 mins walk to Waller House.
