Kat Rae

Veteran and Partner of Veteran

I am an early career artist based in Naarm (Melbourne). My work explores how place, memory and experience layer and mesh, and who/what is forgotten after the war. I served in the Australian Army for 20 years before deciding to become a full-time artist in 2019. Since then, my work has been recognised in the Napier Waller Art Prize competition four times, is a recent finalist in a number of prizes. I've exhibited in numerous solo and group shows.
